On February 9th at 8PMET in Bryan Hall, the BGSU Opera department is premiering my newest work Beethoven’s Razor, as well as three other new MicroOperas by BGSU Composition students.

Beethoven’s Razor is a quasi-absurd micro opera about a modern-day composer’s attempt to achieve his life’s goal: re-compose Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony note-for-note without ever having heard it before.

Beethoven’s Razor features Jonathan Kroeger as Peter, Cassie Wilson as Freddie, and Keri Lee Pierson as Karl. Conductor Eden Treado leads pianist Apostolos Konstantakis and percussionist Jacob Koch.
